Admissions Process

From your first call to your first day, we make getting into treatment as simple and supportive as possible.

How It Works

Four steps to starting treatment

We understand that reaching out for help takes courage. Our admissions team is here to guide you through every step with compassion, clarity, and confidentiality. Most patients can begin treatment within 24 to 48 hours of their first call.

Admissions Timeline

01

Call Our Admissions Team

Your journey begins with a confidential phone call. Our admissions coordinators are available 24/7 to answer your questions, discuss your situation, and help determine whether RECO Island is the right fit for your needs. There is no pressure and no obligation. We simply want to understand how we can help.

During this initial conversation, we will ask about your substance use history, any co-occurring mental health conditions, your current living situation, and your goals for treatment. This information helps us prepare for the next steps and ensures you receive the most appropriate level of care.

Clinical Assessment

After your initial call, a member of our clinical team will conduct a more thorough pre-admission assessment. This may take place over the phone or via a secure video call. The assessment covers your medical history, mental health history, substance use timeline, current medications, and any previous treatment experiences.

This assessment is not a test, and there are no wrong answers. The purpose is to create a clear picture of your needs so that we can develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses every dimension of your situation. All information shared during this process is strictly confidential.

03

Insurance Verification & Financial Planning

Our admissions team will work directly with your insurance provider to verify your benefits and determine your coverage for residential treatment. We accept most major insurance plans and work to maximize your benefits. If you do not have insurance or have questions about costs, our team can discuss private pay options and help you explore financial solutions.

We handle the insurance paperwork so you do not have to. Our goal is to remove every possible barrier between you and the treatment you need. In most cases, we can complete insurance verification within a few hours.

Arrive & Begin Treatment

Once your admission is confirmed, our team will coordinate all the details of your arrival. If you are traveling from out of state, we can help arrange transportation from the airport to our facility. If you are local, we will provide clear directions and information about what to bring.

When you arrive at RECO Island, you will be welcomed by our staff and given a thorough orientation. Your medical team will complete an intake assessment, and you will begin settling into your new surroundings. Most patients find that the anxiety they felt before arriving quickly gives way to a sense of relief and hope.
