About RECO Island

RECO Island treats a wide range of substance use disorders including alcohol addiction, opioid dependence (heroin, fentanyl, prescription opioids), benzodiazepine addiction, stimulant use disorders (cocaine, methamphetamine), prescription drug abuse, and polysubstance use. We also address co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.

RECO Island is located in Delray Beach, Florida, in the heart of South Florida's recovery community. Our facility offers a warm, welcoming environment with access to the natural beauty of the region. We serve patients from across the United States.

Yes. RECO Island holds accreditations from CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), The Joint Commission, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and LegitScript. These accreditations reflect our commitment to the highest standards of care and patient safety.

Treatment

Treatment & Programs

The length of stay varies depending on individual needs, but most patients stay between 14 and 30 days for medical detox and residential treatment. Some individuals may benefit from a longer stay. Your treatment team will make recommendations based on your progress and clinical needs.

A typical day at RECO Island includes a structured schedule of medical care, individual and group therapy sessions, mindfulness and wellness activities, meals, recreation time, and rest. Yes. Many individuals with substance use disorders also struggle with co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and others. Our clinical team is trained in dual-diagnosis treatment and will address both conditions simultaneously through integrated care.

Admissions & Insurance

We accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, and many others. Our admissions team will verify your specific benefits and explain your coverage in detail. Verify your insurance here.

Absolutely. Many of our calls come from concerned family members and friends. Our admissions team can guide you through the process and offer advice on how to help your loved one take the first step toward treatment.

Life at RECO Island

During Your Stay

Absolutely. All treatment at RECO Island is protected by federal HIPAA regulations and 42 CFR Part 2, which provides additional privacy protections specifically for substance use disorder treatment records. We will never share your information without your written consent.

Yes, we encourage family involvement in the recovery process. Visitation policies are designed to support your treatment while maintaining connection with loved ones. Your treatment team will provide details about visitation schedules and family therapy opportunities.

Cell phone policies vary and will be discussed during your intake assessment. Generally, phone use is limited to designated times to help you focus on your recovery. We want you to stay connected with your support system while minimizing distractions.

Before you leave RECO Island, your treatment team will work with you to create a comprehensive aftercare plan. This may include referrals to outpatient programs like RECO Intensive, sober living arrangements through RECO Institute, ongoing therapy, support group recommendations, and relapse prevention strategies.

Yes. If you are traveling from out of state, our admissions team can help coordinate transportation from the airport to our facility. We serve patients from across the country and are experienced in making the travel process as smooth as possible.
