The clinical protocols in our executive detox program are identical to our standard medical detox: same physician-led team, same ASAM Level 3.7-WM licensure, same CIWA-Ar or COWS-driven pharmacology, same MAT continuation planning. There is no clinical corner cut. The differentiator is entirely structural.
Private suite accommodations. Every executive detox patient stays in a private suite. Not a private room in a shared unit — a dedicated suite with private bathroom, additional square footage for essential business space, and controlled visitor access. Meal service is delivered to the suite when preferred.
HIPAA-hardened communication. Standard HIPAA protections apply to every RECO Island patient. Executive patients receive additional privacy engineering: minimum-necessary chart access enforced across all staff, dedicated communication phone lines, encrypted email for external professional communication where clinically appropriate, and a named privacy liaison who is the single point of contact for family and trusted advisors.
Business continuity accommodations. During the initial 48 hours of active detox, clinical priorities take precedence — sleep, hydration, medication response, and stabilization come first. From day 3 onward, when medically appropriate, we accommodate essential business communication: scheduled attorney or trusted-advisor calls, minimal-time asynchronous email review, and — for the small number of positions that truly cannot be temporarily delegated — brief video consultation with executive team members. All of this happens with explicit clinical clearance from the medical director and with structured limits that protect recovery.
Discretion-focused staffing. All RECO Island staff are HIPAA-trained. Our executive-detox case managers and admissions coordinators have additional training and experience working with public figures, attorneys, physicians, C-suite executives, and other professionals for whom discretion is non-negotiable. Photography is prohibited throughout the facility, entry logs are minimum-retention, and all staff sign additional confidentiality acknowledgments before working with executive-track patients.
Admissions and discharge logistics. A private admissions entry is available. Transportation to and from the facility can be arranged discreetly. Discharge is coordinated on the executive's schedule, not the facility's convenience.
